South Africa is almost entirely malaria-free. 

• For your peace of mind, we recommend that you take out travel and medical insurance prior to your departure. If you are using medication, you must remember to bring enough for your entire stay, and that all medications are contained in the prescribed packaging.
• Please inform the Diepkuil Safaris office of any medical conditions, such as allergies, disabilities, and/or physical limitations.
• South Africa is mostly malaria-free with the only reported cases being in certain isolated areas in the northernmost reaches of the country. Malaria occurs mostly in Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Botswana, and Mozambique. Malarial prophylactic is recommended if you are traveling to these areas. For more information regarding malaria, visit the CDC’s malaria page.
• We recommend that you get vaccinated for Hepatitis A & B, as well as Tetanus, before departing for your safari. Visit the CDC’s travel page for more health-related travel information.
