​PLAINS GAME

A HUNTING CLIENT IS DEFINED AS ANY PERSON THAT HUNT TWO OR MORE ANIMALS.  AN INDIVIDUAL THAT HUNT A SINGLE ANIMAL IS CONSIDERED A NON-HUNTING GUEST.  THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO DANGEROUS GAME.

DANGEROUS GAME

Please Note: To confirm a Dangerous Game Hunt, we require 50% of the total safari price, including trophy fees, as a deposit.

Lion hunts can be arranged. Female Trophies are $8000 and male trophies vary between $15,000 and $20,000 depending on selected trophy size.

Walk and stalk will apply. We suggest a minimum of a 7-day booking.

RIFLE RECOMMENDATIONS

​We recommend calibers not smaller than .270 for plains game. Suggested cartridges include .270 Winchester, 7mm-08 Remington, 7x57mm Mauser, .280 Remington, any of the 7mm magnum cartridges, .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, any of the .300 magnum cartridges, .338-06, .338 Winchester Magnum, .35 Whelen and .375 H&H Magnum.

Smallest recommended caliber for dangerous game including buffalo is .375

Certain plains game species roam in open fields where longer distance shooting might be necessary, with distances up to 250m. Calibers can be discussed when you book the species you would like to hunt.

Diepkuil has a 300m outdoor shooting range, to zero your rifle.

We can arrange day trips to venues and attractions in the vicinity

Entry fee per person:

(Most attractions are within a 1 hr drive from the lodge)

Vehicle cost for the day (up to four clients) including driver: $300 per day
